The RingCentral application is an excellent tool for communication that brings together a lot of features in a single, easy to use package. This document will cover the features of the RingCentral phone and SMS features in the app.

Phone

This is one of the primary functions of the RingCentral application. The app’s phone section handles the Fax, Phone, SMS and voicemail components of the platform.

Making a call

To dial a phone number:

  1. Click on the dialer

  2. Type in the phone to dial

  3. Press the green call button to initiate the call

Send SMS (text) messages

The RingCentral app also allows the sending of SMS messages to numbers that support it. To send an SMS:

  1. Click on Phone

  2. Hover your mouse over the Text section and click the plus sign [+]

  3. Enter the recipient’s phone number and click Next

  4. Type your message and send with the Enter key
