Functions

Sidetone

Sidetone is a feature that allows you to hear your voice through the headset as the headset microphone picks it up. Sidetone can be turned off in the headset settings on the Jabra Direct app.

To turn off Sidetone:

  1. Open the Jabra Direct app

  2. Click on the Jabra Evolve2 65 headset

  3. Click on Settings

  4. Under the Headset tab, scroll down until you see Sidetone. Toggle the switch to turn off the feature.

  5. Click Save

Muting

The headset will automatically mute the microphone audio when the boom is moved upwards. Once it is pushed down, the audio will be unmuted.

Google Meet Call Control

When using a Meet-certified headset on Google Meet, the USB controls of the headset can be used to control the call after the headset is permitted to control the call.

To set up call control, perform the following:

  1. Connect the headset to the computer using the Jabra Link 380 or Jabra Link 380c and ensure it is turned on.

  2. Open a Google Meet meeting and join it.

  3. Once in the meeting, click on the kebab menu and click on Settings.

  4. In the Audio settings, click Call Control near the bottom of the window and click Connect device.

  5. A window from the browser's top left will ask you to connect a device. Select Jabra Link 380 or Jabra Link 380c, then click Connect.

After the headset is connected in this way, the following changes will apply to your Google Meet conferences:

  1. Moving the microphone up will mute your audio on the call, and the mute indicator will be shown to call participants. Pushing the microphone down will unmute your audio and remove the mute indicator.

  2. If pressed, the button in the middle of the right earcup will remove you from the call.

  3. The busylight indicators (red rings around the earcups) will turn on when you join a call.

The headset can be charged by connecting it to a USB port with the provided cable on a laptop or other computer. A full charge will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
